TEST PILOT: RYAN MOSS

WHO YOU ARE, WHERE YOU’RE FROM AND WHAT YOU’RE PASSIONATE ABOUT?
I’m Ryan Moss, I currently call Oahu, Hawaii home. I enjoy being outdoors, coffee, filmmaking, photography, documenting surfing, climbing, spending time with my family and I’m a huge fan of Australian Cattle Dogs.
YOUR DISCIPLINE
I am a student of the game and constantly evolving in the disciplines of filmmaking, photography, climbing, bodyboarding, and traversing tropical mountains.
WHAT OUTDOOR ACCOMPLISHMENT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
I am probably most proud of the fact that I have been able to continue enjoying my disciplines for as long as I have. To me longevity is way more important than say; what climbing grade I max out at, or how big of a wave I ever ride. Not, to take away from any of those accomplishments by others. They are definitely impressive and I have respect for that. However, I personally would rather be able to climb, bodyboard, ridge traverse and enjoy the outdoors when I’m 70 or something like that. I want to be able to pass my knowledge to my kids if I ever have them.
WHAT’S THE NEXT CHALLENGE FOR YOU?
I don’t really know to be honest. I always have a couple of ideas in the back of my head but, I don’t ever really talk about them unless I actually plan on following through with them in the immediate near future.
WHAT PIECE OF GEAR DO YOU TEST / USE THE MOST?
F1 Expedition Utility Pant hands down my favorite piece of gear. I pretty much live and rotate between the 3 pairs of them I own.
